- "I can only
speak of my experience, don't you agree?"
Satprem |

I can speak only of my own experience, don't
you agree? A man begins to be only when he arrives to the total annihilation of what he is, of what he believes in, of what he thinks of, of what he likes. When we arrive to this entire annihilation, then something must BE, otherwise we DIE, don't we? As for me, I have known that in the scenery of the concentration camps: there was nothing more, everything was... everything was broken, smashed. I too was broken. All ideals, all noble things, everything was broken, smashed. There was nothing, nothing, NOTHING, do you understand? There was no politics, no religion, there was nothing to hang on to. Then, when there is nothing, what does it remain? What does it remain? There is a centre of Force(s), of Being, there is something that remains, and that is the key! It is not what we think, it is not what we feel, it is not what we like, it is not the ideals, it is not God, it is not... it is nothing of all that! It is something that is... poignant, as if the whole being was gathered in an... in an anguish, which is so severe that it becomes like a prayer or like..., it is Love. It is something that is warm, mighty, that has no word, that is the Being! That is what we are! This is the question or the thing to which everybody arrives. When everything collapses, what does it remain? Satprem |
